Babysitting Rates paid directly to the sitter: (3 hour minimum for families, 2 hour minimum for non-profit groups)

Note:  ALL sitters are to be paid in full for the entire booking time for each sit and are required to be paid at least the 3 or 2 hr minimum (see above).  Therefore, if you know for sure you'll need a sitter on Friday night, for example, from 5-10pm but also know you might stay out until 1am, please book your sit from 5-10pm and put a note in the comments saying something like, "We may stay out as late as 1am so we need a sitter with end time flexibility."  That way, you're only required to pay her for the full hours (even if you come home early), but this way you know you'll have a sitter who is flexible and you can just pay her for any overage past 10pm should you choose to stay out later.

Cancellations:   There is a $25 Cancellation Fee for sits cancelled within the last 24 hours before the start of a scheduled sit. 100% of this fee is passed on to the sitter to compensate for lost hours. We do not issue refunds for the Sitters Unlimited LLC placement fees should you choose to cancel your sit once a sitter has been assigned.  However, we WILL refund your placement fee if we are unable to find you a sitter or if you need to cancel your request before one has been found.

Additionally, if you are unable to give more than 5 hrs notice, the full charge of the sit is due to the sitter.  The only time we waive this full charge within 5 hrs of the sit starting is when our office is closed and you are unable to reach a sitter otherwise (e.g. don't have her phone number).  If you can't reach the sitter but need to cancel when we're closed, just let the sitter know when she arrives that you had a change in plans, give her the $25 cancellation fee plus a little for gas, and leave a voice mail for us.  We'll be in touch when we re-open the following business day

  • Transportation fees:  $5.00 fee for reimbursement of gas and mileage for 10 miles or less and fifty six cents ($0.56) each additional mile

Nanny Rates:

  • ONLY meant for families using the same sitter, 4 days per week or 25 hours per week, whichever comes first:
  • A buyout relationship means you have purchased exclusive use of a particular sitter/nanny and no longer have to go through Sitters Unlimited LLC to schedule them. Therefore, in addition to the regularly scheduled days they work for you, you can also check with them to see if they're available to sit for you when you'd like to go out, have special events, etc.  If they are, you don't have to contact us.  However, if there are any needs you have that your buyout nanny isn't available to do, please call us and we'd be happy to help find you a fill-in sitter for the standard sitter placement fees.  For nanny buyouts, there are 3 options:
  • $350 to Sitters Unlimited LLC for a Summer buyout (June, July, August)
  • $900 to Sitters Unlimited LLC for an entire school year buyout (Sept-May)
  • $450 to Sitters Unlimited LLCfor half of a school year buyout (Sept-Dec OR Jan-May)
  • All buyouts are only good for the term you purchased (e.g. 1/2 year buyout Jan 2014-May 2014) and must be renewed when your term is up, should you choose to continue.
  • Nanny Rates:  $12/hr for one child, $1 more per hour each additional child is the very minimum pay.  If you want your nanny to do more than the obvious child care and additional assumed responsibilities (e.g. keeping the nursery and kids’ rooms tidy, preparing their meals and cleaning up after them, overseeing kids doing their homework, chores, etc.) and instead also be responsible for extra things (e.g. keeping children’s laundry up to date, light housecleaning, possibly even cooking, grocery shopping, etc.),  then you and your nanny can negotiate a price that you’re both comfortable with for the job responsibilities you agree to.  Keep in mind that some nannies have vast experience and therefore may personally require (and deserve) a higher rate.
